Yulimar Rojas became world champion in triple jump in Budapest

The Caracas record holder achieved a mark of 15.08 meters that was relatively far from the world record that she herself holds (15.74), but which allowed her to enjoy a new gold medal in this ecumenical competition.

The Venezuelan Yulimar Rojas was proclaimed champion in Triple Jump this Friday, after marching in eighth position in the last attempt that preceded her consecration, within the framework of the World Athletics Championships, which takes place in Budapest, Hungary.

 

The 27-year-old record holder from Caracas set a mark of 15.08 meters, which was relatively far from the world record that she herself holds (15.74), but which allowed her to enjoy a new gold medal in an ecumenical competition .

 

"It has been a somewhat complicated final. It has been a strange competition for me. But I have always believed in myself. If something characterizes me, it is that for me there is no ceiling, there are no barriers. Yes, it is true that I have not found myself and I was suffering psychologically”, confessed the South American athlete.
