The restored version of "Cinderella", an animated classic from Mickey Mouse's house released in 1950, will be added this Friday to the catalog of the streaming platform Disney+ as part of the activities and tributes that the company has been carrying out since the end of the year past on the way to next October, when it will be 100 years since his birth.

Fantasy and musical, the 12th film on the Walt Disney Animation list of titles was created based on the fairy tale that French author Charles Perrault published in 1697, and became a rescue for the still young company, then tight due to debts and that came from several box office failures with films such as "Pinocchio" (1940) and "Bambi" (1942), whose call to theaters was overshadowed by emergencies and the prevailing social climate during World War II.

The Disney adaptation tells the story of a young orphan girl who is forced by her stepmother and stepsisters to live in servitude in her own home, and who, desperate to enjoy some freedom, is helped by the Fairy Godmother, who makes her a beautiful dress with matching crystal slippers so that the protagonist can attend the gala ball that the King decides to organize to find a suitor for his son, Prince Charming.

However, at the stroke of midnight and after the romance is born between her and the heir to the kingdom, Cinderella tries to flee as quickly as possible before the spell vanishes, although in the escape she leaves behind one of the shoes. which, later, would lead her to reunite with her lover to leave behind the mistreatment of her home and live happily ever after.
