From a Bukele admirer to an indigenous leader: the eight candidates for the Presidency

In addition to Luisa González, candidate of the Correísta Revolución Ciudadana (RC), the only woman leading a binomial and first in all the polls, and Christian Zurita, of sudden notoriety because she is the replacement for the murdered Fernando Villavicencio at the head of the Construye Movement. These are the other six candidates for the Carondelet Palace:

Bolívar Armijos: at 46 years old, he is a candidate for the Friend Movement, after having sympathized for years with Correísmo. He claims to be one of the founders of Union for Hope, the old alliance that dominated the Citizen Revolution.

Born in Esmeraldas and trained as a lawyer, he spent a lot of time buying and selling land. "I sold about 100,000 hectares," he boasted in a television interview.

For almost 20 years he was the voice and face of the National Council of Rural Parochial Governments of Ecuador (Conagopare). Although he tried to form his own party, Fuerza Rural, he did not arrive on time and agreed to be the candidate for the Movimiento Amigo.

After the candidate debate, his figure exploded on the networks, but because the "memes" about his attitudes multiplied.

In the campaign, he wanted to show that he dared anything, to the point that he fictionalized for the networks a meeting in which, in a suit, he whispered his campaign proposals to Angelina Jolie.
